Abstract

In the context of Industry 4.0, digitalization of education has become a necessity, bringing opportunities and creating certain challenges that pose a threat to person’s integrity. The research aims to actualize a humanistic approach to the development of education in the conditions of Industry 4.0. The humanistic approach to education is opposed to a skills-based approach. The study identifies the features of education in the conditions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including individualization of learning, attention to the psychological qualities of students, expansion of distance learning opportunities, use of online platforms, diversity of educational tools, implementation of project-based learning, and formation of teachers' professional competencies. The results show that the application of digital technologies in education within the framework of a humanistic approach requires a reassessment of existing educational activities, such as updating educational programs, training teachers in new teaching methods. It is also important to consider the problem of digital divide. The humanistic approach to education in the context of Industry 4.0 helps individuals develop as personalities. The approach focuses on individual needs and interests of each student, develops professional, social and emotional skills, and stimulates critical thinking and independence, allowing individuals to realize their potential.
