STRATEGIC SETTINGS OF THE INSTITUTE OF CONTINUING EDUCATION AND THE UNIVERSITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Abstract

A modern developing university as a self-forming organization must comply with world requirements
for the organization of higher education and fit into the conditions of world coexistence,
taking into account modern trends in digitalization of the economy and everyday life of
people and the internationalization of the educational process, pedagogical and scientific activities
of teachers. The strategic development guidelines for all departments of the university should
be consistent with this general trend and the university development program.
The article describes the strategic orientation of the institution of continuing education (ICE)
at different periods of the university’s development: the university’s work under the federal program
for mobile training; the functioning of a national research university; in the draft 5-100.
Their correspondence to the direction of university development during these periods is shown.
The aspects and strategic directions of the institute’s activity in the modern period are characterized,
the aspect of international activity, indicators which are taken into account in determining
university ratings, is emphasized. Statistical comparative results of the achievements of ICE are
presented in diagrams. The data contained in them confirm the effectiveness of the selected and
implemented strategic objectives.
