The formation of university students’ legal competence as a pedagogical process is reviewed. Methodological approaches as guidelines for realization of the process, the essence of the process and its aim are determined on the basis of specifying the structure and the content of the notion “legal competence”. The structural components are characterized (target, content, operational and activity, evaluation and result).
