FORMATION OF READINESS OF TO-BE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANTS FOR PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Abstract
The paper presents a methodological conception of forming a readiness of to-be administrative assistants for professional communication in a foreign language. Due to the current labor market situation, one of 46.03.02 Archives and Records Management programme graduates’ professional responsibilities is to make business contacts and to organize protocol events, including international ones. After graduation the students should be able to communicate in a foreign language taking into account the sociocultural aspects of each particular professional situation. However, there is an increased contradiction between the society demands for administrative assistants’ professional level and the insufficient level of their competence for professional communication in a foreign language, which makes this study valuable for the optimisation or restructuring the existing training education programmes. The practicality of the presented conception is in its possible versatile application to similar educational programmes designed to prepare administrative assistants for productive communication in a multicultural environment.Published
