ANALYSIS OF ADVANCED TRAINING SATISFACTION OF THE ACADEMIC STAFF OF URAL STATE UNIVERSITY OF PHYSICAL CULTURE AS THE FACTOR TO PROVIDE QUALITY OF THE UNIVERSITY EDUCATION PROCESS

Abstract

The introduction of professional standards and the requirements of the Federal State Education Standards to the academic staff make the staff advanced training an urgent task. This is clearly reflected both in the professional activities of the academic staff and in the quality of educational process. This article analyses the possibilities of Ural State University of Physical Culture (USUPHC) to provide support to the academic staff in their continuing professional development and retraining. To determine the degree of the academic staff satisfaction with the programs provided by USUPHC, the methods of reviewing scientific literature, analyzing the professional activities of teachers, surveying, and the methods of mathematical statistics and graphical representation of the research results were used. The results of the academic staff survey are presented. A description of USUPHC’s possibilities in upgrading the academic staff competence is given. Based on the findings of the survey, additional programs for the development of professional skills and professional retraining were developed and offered for implementation.
