SPORT CLUBS IN THE MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE OF UNIVERSITIES OF RUSSIAN FEDERATION EXEMPLIFIED BY SIBERIAN FEDERAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The establishment of large Federal Universities in Russian Federation causes the necessity not only to implement the educational programmes of the new generation but also to strengthen the health, fitness and sports activities both for students and for the university staff. The key role plays the efficiency of the management of this important field, which requires the creation of the new sports club structure within the large university that would meet the demands of the modern society. To develop the new sports club structure for the Siberian Federal University a number of technologies implemented to arrange the sports activities for other higher educational institutions in Russia and the theoretical basis of the health culture and physical self improvement of a personality were studied. The completed theoretical research and analysis of the experience in physical and sports activity in higher educational institutions as well as long-lasting positive practice of the Universiade movement in the region allowed presenting new organizational structure and management approach for the students’ sports movements. The structure is built on providing the efficient management over the health and fitness activities together with the development of the high performance sport. The structure is built on the principle of efficient management of both health and fitness activities and of the development of the high performance sport. The stuff structure of the sports club described and implemented into the Siberian Federal University can be used at the Russian Federation higher educational institutions with a large number of students. The reorganization of the sport club in the Siberian Federal University and its independent status in the educational institution contributed to achivieing the leading position of the Siberian Federal University in the All-Russian Winter and Summer Universiade. Due to the achievements of the students’ sports movement in the region, the administration of Krasnoyarsk region with the support of the sports societies found it possible to initiate the application of hosting the World Winter Universiade in 2019. This initiative was supported by the President of the Russian Federation, Minister of Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation.
