MASS ORGANIZED EVENTS WHICH STIMULATE THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS’ RESEARCH WORK

Abstract

The competencies of research activity, which are necessary for future specialists to find a creative solution of job tasks, are formed in the course of the educational process. Participation in research activities helps to enhance the quality of preparation for it. However, according to sociological studies, more than a half of students with relevant abilities need some stimulation and formation of positive motivation to conduct research. Mass organized events, which stimulate the development of research work, are designed to increase motivation. The paper presents a detailed description of the event “Days of Student Science”, organized within the framework of All-Russian Festival of Science, aimed to contribute to the development of research work of students. The theoretical research methods, in particular, comparison, analysis and synthesis were used. The mass organized event is presented in the form of a system that has purpose, contentrelated, procedural and corrective components, and is a subsystem of a metasystem of students’ research work at the University. The interaction of student curators with the representatives of participating teams and members of the organizing committee is characterized. The materials of the article can be used when organizing similar events, aimed to assist the development of student self-governance by involving students in research work.
