COMPETENCE-BASED METHODOLOGY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TRAINING OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS IN THE SPORTS’ MANAGEMENT SPHERE

Abstract

The relevance of the development of the system of physical culture and sports’ management
in the Russian Federation are caused by the rapid development of the sports industry, its focus on
the values development, and by the potential of physical culture and sports for the social development
of the country. These trends actualize the training of future specialists in the field of
sports’ management, who must have a well-developed communicative competence which is the
ability and willingness to communicate in Russian and a foreign language. The purpose of the article
is to determine the specifics of the foreign language training of future specialists in the field
of sports’ management. The authors describe the content of the foreign language communicative
competence, identify its components, describe foreign language training of graduate students in
the field of “Management in the field of physical culture and sports”, identify the promising approaches
to the problem study. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that for the first time
a competence-based technique of foreign language training of graduate students that are future
specialists in the field of sports’ management was designed. The results of the research can be
used in the practice of training graduates in the field of “Management in the field of physical culture
and sports”.
