PSYCHOSEMANTICS OF THE ATTRACTION OF THE CHARACTERS OF THE CULT FILM

Abstract

The article deals with the peculiarities of psychosemantics of the attraction of the characters of the cult film in the subjects identifying themselves with them on the example of Harry Potter films. The study sample consisted of 70 University students-31 young men and 39 girls aged 18 to 23 years. The sample was divided into 6 groups by the presence of identification with the most popular characters: 1st and 2nd group – the audience identifying themselves with the positive characters Harry Potter and Hermione; 3rd group – the audience identifying themselves with the positive character of Professor Macgonagle; 4th group – the audience identifying themselves with the powerful good wizard Dumbledore; 5th group – the audience identifying themselves with a powerful evil magician Volan de mort; 6th group – the audience identifying themselves with the negative character Professor Umbridge. We revealed the features of psychosemantic structure of attraction of positive and negative characters of the cult film about Harry Potter in the groups. The psychosemantic structure of the characters and its features allow determine the personal psychosemantic characteristics, which are more important for process of personality identification.
