Abstract

This article continues a series of articles dedicated to analysis of dynamics of social and psychological
characteristics of patients with opioid addiction during their rehabilitation and efficiency factors of this process. The article presents the results of a study of individual psychological characteristics of 93 patients with opioid addiction (69 men –74.2 %, 24 women – 25.8 %; mean age: M = 33.3; σ = 6,86), conducted to identify the most prognostically informative psycho-diagnostic indicators concerning the results of the rehabilitation. With the help of expert assessments on the final stage of the rehabilitation, patients were divided into groups with high (n = 65, 69.6 %) and low (n = 28, 30.4 %) recovery efficiency. In these groups psycho-diagnostic indicators obtained at the initial stage of rehabilitation were compared (42 in total) and using multiple regression analysis the most informative prognostic indicators for the effectiveness of rehabilitation were defined. It was found that the following indicators have a favorable prognostic value: “Negative expectations” (“Dispositional optimism test”) (p <0.01), “Self-attachment” (“Methods of self-study”) (p <0.01), “Confrontation” (technique “Ways of coping”) (p <0.05); unfavorable prognostic value has an indicator of “Pleasure” (technique “Personality values”) (p <0.01).
