Ethnical Identity Reflected by Human Name

Abstract

The main goal of the article is to gain the arguments toward the hypothesis according
to which preferences in name giving could be perceived as a referent of identity process
direction. The social crisis interrupt ethnical traditions of naming and the names of political
leaders and social heroes becomes popular. Name «vocabulary» of contemporary female
generation shows the rehabilitation of ethnical identity process through name, but
name «vocabulary» of contemporary male generation stay untouched by this process.
