NEW APPROACHES FOR DESIGNING IPSATIVE TEST METHODS

Abstract

The article is dealt with the relevance and the research of impact of development techniques applied to ipsative personality questionnaires with answers in a forced choice format on the properties of their psycho-diagnostic data. The basic methods of item composition and balancing the overall structure of ipsative personality questionnaires are formulated. The article describes plan and the results of an experimental study of the properties of the data obtained using developed using these methods, techniques options "Five-factor Personality Questionnaire" adapted by A.B. Chromov and "Personality Accentuations Test" by V.P. Dvorschenko. The results confirm the advantage of a balanced structure of separate ipsative item and whole test, over unbalanced.
