IPSATIVE PERSONALITY TESTS WITH ITEMS IN FORCED CHOICE FORMAT: FEATURES OF DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

Interest of study possible applications of ipsative data was revived in psychodiagnostics field in the past decade. In particular, the possibility of developing personality tests with items in forced choice format for professional selection. In process of creating this kind of tests it is necessary to consider some specific factors that do not affect the process of development of normative tests. This article contains results of the review of foreign literature on the subject of development and use of ipsative tests in comparison with normative, also description of specificity of both ipsative data and tests with items in forced choice format.
