Abstract

The object of this article is to research the peculiarities of forming of protective behavior structure among parents raising children with ICP of different age groups. In this study we research the intensity of coping and psychological defense mechanism in case of a child's disease. We also analyze the association of attributes of parents' protective behavior; review the significant peculiarities of protective behavior structure depending on parents' gender and a child's age. The current study findings allow to look into a role of a protective behavior in terms of parents' adaptive potential as well as to stress the disease adaptation crisis times in order to mark out the following psycho-corrective therapy targets.
