The article discusses the possibility of coal-water slurry usage in the energy sector. The article presents the results of data analysis concerning the use of various technologies for producing and burning that fuel. The author suggests using multifunctional burners as major advanced technologies for combustion. These burners have proven to be highly reliable as energy equipment, and they can operate in a wide range by ash content, moisture and volatile.
