Abstract

The essential characteristics and reasons for the decision of the problem of foreign student training in Russian universities are considered taking into account the multidimensional character of the professional education. The problem is defined and explained on the basis of the activity approach where the concept of activity is treated as the factor of forming and development of the personality of the future professional. The versatility of the professional education of foreign students, which is expressed in the active professional orientation work, preliminary training, adaptation to the conditions of studying at universities in Russia, in the development and implementation of common and different levels of professional education, in methodical and research activities of students, is taken into account. The article defines the role of the predictive model of foreign student training for professional activity based on the professional education continuity. Akmeological aspect of the problem solution is expressed in the following formula: the readiness of foreign students to professional activity is equal to literacy plus acomplishments plus professional competence plus culture plus mentality.
