JAN AMOS KOMENSKY AS AN INSPIRATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIO-PEDAGOGICAL WAY OF THINKING

Abstract

This article presents an outlook of Komensky´s view on education and social reform of society. At first, the author considers Komensky as a theologist and describes his complicated way to the philosophical concept of the world and education. Further, the article potrays Komensky´s attempt to build up democratically and economically oriented schools. The last part focuses on Komensky´s ideas about social, economical and political structure of society. The analysis of theoretical premises, the analysis of original articles written by Komensky and systematic analysis of current conceptions of socio-pedagogic were used to describe sociopedagogical and andragogy inspirations, which can be found in Komensky's philosophical ideas. The paper gives a novel overview on Komensky’s ideas and adjusts them to the 21st century realia. It accentuates the ideas to be used as the basis of programs for preparing sociopedagogists, social workers and pedagogists who work in resocialization and education of youths and adults.
