THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE INNOVATIVE POTENTIAL OF THE PERSONALITY IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

Abstract

One of the drawbacks of the modern system of education is that it is aimed at the assimilation of ready-made knowledge and does not pay much attention to the development of student creative abilities which are the basis for innovations. The aim of the paper is to identify the mental characteristics of an individual, having innovative potential. These characteristics need to be developed in the educational process. To verify the compliance of the characteristics defined with the innovative qualities of personality and reveal their relationship will help to establish the correlation of these qualities to the innovative potential of the individual.
