Abstract

Society needs qualified specialists who are ready to constantly improve their professional competence and professionally develop professionaly. Thus, a social demand for the formation of a value attitude towards continuous professional self-development increases. The focus of our research is the for-of value attitude of future specialists towards continuous professional development when studying a foreign language. In particular, the authors study how language means affect the conscious, subconscious, and emotional spheres of future specialists. The aim of the article is to justify the choice of pedagogical and psychological theories that will be used as theoretical prerequisites for the formation of a value attitude of futurespecialists towards continuous professional self-development when studying a foreign language. The authors analyzed value theory, theory of professional self-development, association theory, theory of linguistic units, and identified the main concepts of these theories. As a result, the authors justified the choice of these theories for the construction of a system to form value attitude of future specialists towards continuous professional self-development when studying a foreign language and characterized the features of this system.
