Abstract

The method of building equations of state in the area of low pressures is offered. The method is based on linear dependence of shock wave velocity on a substance velocity and thermal expansion data at constant pressure. Linear dependence of shock wave velocity on mass velocity leads to the dependence of Gruneisen parameters on the density. This data is used together with thermal expansion data at constant pressure. The parameters for the equation of state are computed for five metals with the help of the original version of Simplex method. A sum of quadratic differences between calculated and experimental values is selected as a target function. The theoretical values have agreed with the experimental one.
