Abstract

The article considers a mathematical model for a woven composite that allows us to estimate its elastic and dissipative properties using elastic and dissipative properties of unidirectional composite having the same structural components (matrix and fibers) and a fiber volume fraction. According to the developed model a representative element of woven composite is considered to be a set of cells connected in series and in parallel and containing unidirectional composite with different directions of fiber laying. Moreover, the model takes into account a type of weave construction: plane weave, twill or satin.
