CARRIER FREQUENCY ESTIMATION FOR RANDOM PULSE TRAIN USING PRONY'S METHOD

Abstract

This paper presents an analysis by means of mathematical model approach for system response to the random pulse train using the segmented Prony's method. The system response is the damped sinusoids sequence, and sinusoids can be partially overlapped. The observational interval is segmented in short segments, and Prony's method is applied to each of them. To characterize the method performance the carrier frequency variance estimate is used.
