SOLVABILITY OF THE INVERSE PROBLEM OF FINDING THE HIGHER COEFFICIENT IN AN EQUATION OF COMPOSITE TYPE

Abstract

For the equations of composite type, called pseudoparabolic equations, we study the solvability of the inverse problem of determining a solution together with an unknown coefficient dependent on the distinguished (time) variable. Integral overdetermination is suggested as an additional condition. The unique existence of regular solutions is demonstrated.
