Research of the Drawing Technology of Rectangular Profiles in the Roller Die with Shift by Roller Couples
Abstract
Instability of plastic flow in deformation zone during drawing of a round workpiece in four-roller draw die with roller couples shifted along drawing axis is experimentally found and analyzed. This instability was determined by the cross-section contour. Plastic flow on the surfaces contacting with deforming rollers has a wave character. Plastic deformation in two couples of rollers affects insignificantly the structure of copper and 37 % Zn brass, while the structure of deformed titanium is anisotropic. Distrbution of microhardness is very inhomogeneous both in initial and in deformed strips.
