Thermodynamic Analysis of the Reactions Between Cr2O3, MgCr2O4 and Gaseous Carbon-Containing Reducing Agents
Abstract
The thermodynamic characteristics of reactions and gas equilibrium composition were calculated for reduction process of Cr2O3 and MgCr2O4 oxides by carbon- and hydrogen-containing gaseous reducing agents. It is found that the carbon- and hydrogen-containing radicals are showing increased reducing ability compared to molecular CO and H2.Issue
