WORK AREAS OF THE TMK RESEARCH CENTER IN DEVELOPING TECHNOLOGIES AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SEAMLESS PIPES

Abstract

This article presents an overview of the achievements of the Seamless Pipe Department of the TMK Re-search Center in the field of metal forming in the following areas: screw rolling, longitudinal rolling, draw-ing and pressing. Computer finite element modeling and digitalization of these processes is an integral part of the work. Most of the scientific developments are implemented in production at Russian pipe plants. This increases the competitive advantage and allows to master new types of pipe products and increase the technological sovereignty of the country.
