Features of Temper Embrittlement in 13KhFA Steel with Low Phosphorus Level Quenched from the Intercritical Temperature Range
Abstract
The paper describes the effect of double tempering on the properties of a low-alloy pipeline steel pre-hardened from the intercritical temperature range. It is shown that repeated tempering at 520 °C does not cause temper brittleness. Possible effect of various factors such as changes in the equilibrium concentration of carbon in ferrite or precipitation hardening is discussed.Issue
