Increasing of the Bearing Capacity of Welded Cylindrical Shells With Longitudinal Soft Seams
Abstract
The article provides a theoretical analysis of the strength of banded pipes with soft longitudinal seams. Obtained calculated dependence allows to evaluate the limit internal pressure for the considered structures as a function of parameters of the band winding (steel wire), shell diameter and wall thickness. The article includes recommendations to improve the performance of welded cylindrical shells.
