METAPHORS REPRESENTING “RUSSIA’S FUTURE” IN RUSSIAN, AMERICAN AND BRITISH POLITICAL DISCOURSES (beginning of the XXIST century)

Abstract

The present article deals with systems of metaphors aimed at representing the model of Russia’s
future in Russian, American and British political discourses (beginning of the XXIst century). The
author dwells upon the dominant metaphorical models used in the discourses of the three countries, their common features and peculiarities.
