Abstract

The present article dwells upon a microcycle as a special type of archaic unity that
allows the author to keep a fragmented reality from disintegration and fix it in the
reader’s consciousness and imagination in periods of turmoil. The authors draw
conclusions about the nature of semantic relations within this stable artistic unity on the
basis of the prosaic microcycles created in the 1920s in Russia.
