TYPES OF TEXT ADAPTATION

Abstract

The paper focuses on cognitive foundations of text adaptation. The novelty of the research
is comprised by stating some types of text adaptation according to the components
of the basic scheme of communication: an addressee, an addresser, a message and a code
of this message. The author considers four types of text adaptation: subject adaptation, referential adaptation, addressee’s adaptation and instrumental adaptation. The results of
the research can be used for raising effectiveness of adapted texts.
