Abstract

The central problem of cognitive linguistics is studying peculiarities of verbalization
of human knowledge, conceptual and linguistic objectification of events being of primary
importance. A part of the human experience is represented in mind as structures of
knowledge with complex organization and dynamic specificity: frames, scenes, propositions,
event concepts, etc. The conceptual model of the event reflected in language explications
is an interesting line of research connected with modeling cognitive structures with
linguistic methods. It assumes a procedure of identification of relevant components associated
with ontological categories including the subject, the object, cognitive activity of the
subject, his instrument, the result, the place and the time, the latter being a distin-guishing
feature of mental representation of events.
