TO THE QUESTION ON THE DEFINITION OF THE NOTION «CONSTITUTIONAL CULTURE»

Abstract

The formation of constitutional culture becomes an important factor in the development of modern society. However, today there is no established position regarding both the concept of constitutional culture and its content.

The article analyzes the attempts made to determine the constitutional culture, to establish its connection with the political and legal culture. The author concludes that although constitutional culture can be viewed in conjunction with other types of culture, it does have its own distinctive characteristics.

The article presents the main problems of the study of constitutional culture both at the theoretical (lack of a single concept and characteristics of constitutional culture) and at the practical (problems of forming a constitutional culture in modern Russia) levels.
