REQUIREMENTS TO THE EMPLOYEE IN THE INNOVATIVE ECONOMY: PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

Abstract

The article examines the role and place of the gradually adopted professional standards in the modern economy, the need to amend the Labour Code of the Russian Federation for improving the qualification of the employee in accordance with the new requirements. Special mention is made of the need to bring the educational system in line with the needs of the market. It seems that the correct application of professional standards will enable both the employee and the employer to facilitate the work process. The issue of introducing by professional standards the new concepts, and skills, which cause ambiguity in their understanding and application, is touched upon. In this regard, the need to develop recommendations defining the terminology used in professional standards is justified.
