THE ANALYSIS OF STATISTICAL DATA ON THE CHANGE OF VERDICTS BY THE JUDICIAL BOARD ON CRIMINAL CASES OF THE SUPREME COURT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION IN THE SUPERVISORY PROCEDURE

Abstract

The paper presents the correlation analysis of dependencies between the number of
persons in respect of whom the Judicial Board on Criminal Cases by way of supervision:
1) quashed sentences; 2) dismissed criminal cases in full; 3) upheld other less serious
charge; 4) changed the sentences; 5) changed the classification of crimes. The percentage
of persons in respect of whom according to the results of considering criminal cases in
the supervisory procedure the classification of crimes was changed by the Judicial Board,
from the number of persons in respect of whom according to the results of considering
criminal cases in the supervisory procedure the sentences were changed by the Judicial
Board.
