THE FUNCTION OF LOGICAL METHODS AND TOOLS IN METHODOLOGY OF LEGAL COGNITION

Abstract

The article concentrates on the role of logical methods in the structure of legal cognition
methodology within the framework of methodological studies in law. It is stated that in
the structure of legal cognition methodology logical methods belong to general scientific
methods of cognition, also they are applied as a part of specific scientific methods of legal
science. The author analyzes different positions of legal scholars on the relation of the
theory and the method of legal science, and the structure of law methodology. Special attention
is paid to historical and legal research in legal cognition, methodological legal research.
