THE IMPACT OF SOCIAL CONDITIONS IN PLACES OF CONFINEMENT ON A CONVICTED PERSON

Abstract

This article is devoted to the analysis of social environment in places of deprivation
of liberty and of the convicted person. The following issues such as
the negative effect of the elements of social environment in the places of confinement
on the convicted person, the content of these properties, the relationship
between actions and identified personal qualities, the possibility to modify
personality in places of confinement, if it is related to acts of behaviour leading
to the violation of the regime, methods to neutralize the negative influence of
the environment, if it forms or strengthens negatively assessed personal properties,
are considered in the article. The classification of the persons convicted,
depending on their social orientation is performed. A dual role of social conditions
(positive and negative) in places of deprivation of liberty is given to effect
the formation of the personality traits of the prisoners and the contradictory
nature of education and interaction of different groups of the convicts.
