ASPECTS OF ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT AS AN OBJECT OF LEGAL INFORMATION

Abstract

The article reveals the problem of legal nature of the category «electronic
document» and definitions of an electronic document, including system inconsistency
of legal definition of «information», «documented information», «electronic
message», «document», «electronic document» and «print». The author argues
that the prevailing opinion of the Committee on Information Policy, Information Technology and Communication on the established legal mechanism for document management flow submitted in an electronic form, and the fact that the formation of a separate federal law for the regulation of this activity are not necessary , is a common mistake. The necessity of a framework law «On electronic document» as a prospect for development of new regulatory framework is stressed.
