PUTTING A MINOR INTO THE CENTER OF TEMPORARY DETENTION OF JUVENILE OFFENDERS AS A PREVENTIVE MEASURE

Abstract

In this article, for the first time, a draft law is being analyzed, which is being considered
in the second reading at the time of writing the article. A view is expressed on the
need to amend this draft law. The author expresses his attitude to the bill, on the whole
considering it as a positive phenomenon, believes that the introduction of a new preventive
measure will help solve a number of problematic issues. The author justifies the position
that it is necessary to exclude the possibility of imprisonment of minors for committing
a crime of medium gravity.
