CONVICTED FOR ACQUISITIVE AND VIOLENT CRIME: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS
Abstract
This article presents a comparative analysis of convicted for acquisitive and violent
crime. It is concluded that the convict's behavior in prison is somehow connected with the
form of the criminal act. His behavior is determined by personality type. Therefore convicted
for acquisitive and violent crimes behave the same if they are of the same type, differently
if you are different types. And as the article touches upon the problem of the criminal
personality, the personality differences between the groups identified by the type of
crime committed. According to the method of formation and functioning of the social environment
in the places of deprivation of freedom cannot make conclusions about the
presence of criminals of any specific properties or combination of properties, steadily distinguish
them from law-abiding citizens. As well as the reliability and validity of methodological
acceptance, according to which personal characteristics studied among convicts
in places of deprivation of liberty, then are projected to the situation of crime committed in
the past, and this projection becomes the basis of the explanation of individual wrongful
behavior.
