Abstract

The article focuses on applications of discourse analysis for the study of a judicial
process. The judicial discourse is basic among all legal discourses. The discursive method allows
one to discover new characteristics of judicial documents as the concept of the general
theory of law.
The object of research in the framework of discourse analysis is a judicial document
which is always in writing. The use of discourse analysis to examine the process of creating
and exchanging documents is possible, since the judicial document is a text created in the linguistic
form based on the legal language by means of legally-oriented thinking.
Not all features of the discursive study on legal phenomena are specified, and this brief
study helped to discover new facets of judicial documents as an essential part of the legal discourse.
