CHARACTERIZATION OF CRIMINAL IDENTITY ON MALFEASANCE
Abstract
The article describes the basic psychological and functional features of the official
who has committed a crime in the criminological characteristics of malfeasance. The
positive and negative features of the person and the optimal use of these features in the
investigation of malfeasance are analyzed. The results of investigation of criminal cases
on malfeasance, indicating that in committing the malfeasance psychological properties
of the official with a predominance of their property interests are connected with the
power and authority that he had been vested in used as a tool to achieve their goals are
presented. Identity of the offender as an element of criminalistics reference is studied in
the system correlation with the circumstances of the event of the wrongful act, the previous
and post-criminal factors that determine the amount, direction, sources and specific
methods of obtaining necessary information required to prove the involvement of officials
in crime commission and to achieve other objectives, prescribed by the law of criminal
procedure and the subject of criminalistics. The study of offender’s identity for malfeasance
affects the investigative situations formed in the course of criminal investigation,
which subsequently helps in setting out leads of crime commission and planning of
investigative actions and measures of operational and investigative activities.
