ATURES OF LEGAL REGULA TION OF INHERITANCE IN THE NEW ECONOMIC POLICY

Abstract

The article analyzes the le gal regulation of inheritance in the first years of the Soviet system. The  author traces the development of the idea to limit the size of the property  transferred by inheritance, from the rules of Decree 1918 «On abolition of inheritance» to the provisions of the Civil Code of 1922.  The change in the approach of the legislator is marked to determine the composition of inherita nce, under the influence of political processes and the needs of the m arket economy, existed in the young So-viet Republic for a short time duri ng the New Economic Policy. The speci-ficity of legislative regulatio n of transfer by inheritance of certain types of property, property rights is reve aled.
