Kumykskom fiefdoms in the caucasian policy of Russia in the period of uprisings against iran (1707—1721) and the collapse of the Safavid state
Abstract
The article, based on an analysis of archival materials, information, Caucasian studies, Russian and
Western European authors XVIII—XIX centuries. Kumyk considered fiefs in the Caucasian policy of
Russia in the context of anti-Iranian revolts 1707—1721; characterized international position Kumyk
possessions, defines the political situation in the region, where all the time competed for influence
in the province of the Ottoman Empire and Tsarist Russia; It indicates the growth of pro-Russian
orientation Kumyk princes in a collapse of the Safavid state and the aggressive ambitions of ports.
