ALEXANDER ZAVALISHIN, THE WRITER: BIOGRAPHY UNKNOWN PAGES

Abstract

The article is based on the Archive of the Security Service of the Russian Federation documents. It
tells about Alexander Zavalishin biography unknown episodes which were connected with his arrest,
conviction and rehabilitation. An investigator should analyze archival criminal cases, especially use
their information very carefully, following the concept «do no harm!». The archival documents help to
reconstitute the events that preceded person’s arrest, the process of the investigation. The materials help
to retrace person’s future life too. The prisoner’s form, the autographic testimony, the transcript of interrogation,
evidences, rehabilitation documents are filed to Zavalishin’s archival criminal case. The case
materials reveal Zavalishin’s imprisonment details, show investigation officer’s work, give an opportunity
to understand the reasons that made the writer slander himself and sign guilty testimony.
