Abstract

The operation of Zlatoust Plant producing metal engraving products in the hard
years of re-construction period 1945—1950s remains poorly studied. “Zlatoust”
issue still remains urgent as the art metal of Zlatoust belongs to a special production
sphere and is a part of Ural industrial culture. Interdisciplinary approach allowed
investigating the issues of art education and training engravers, conservation of
metal-working art traditions and continuity of generations. In the considered period
the previous years’ omissions in the art of Zlatoust engraving were opened, the
overcoming of which started with the formation of a new creative team.
