To the history of university museums formation

Abstract

The article describes and analyzes the stages of development of university museums. In the
article it is traced the path of formation of this trend in world culture and its main stages. Also it is described the history of Russian university museums in detail. In our country, the first university museums emerged at the same time with the universities in the XVIII century. It was the beginning of the museums organization in the country. On the example of South Ural State University (National Research University) museums it is showed its training and educational role in the students’ lives
