Abstract

The article attempts to reveal connections of the philosophical ideas of the Yefremov's
novel «The Bull's Hour» with the main traditions of russian philosophy.
There is shown the relationship of the novel concepts with the idea of all-unity. There
is marked the religiousness of Yefremov's worldview both in terms of his religious
faith in the communist future so and in respect of his commitment to theosophic
and esoteric unity of various ancient religions. Furthermore, the writer develops
the philosophical traditions of Russian cosmism and Marxist dialectics. Although
Yefremov does not understand dialectics as a synthesis of two opposites and their
«withdrawal» in the something third but as the «razor's edge», as the fine line of
true path between two «abysses», as «measure» between the two extremes.
