The ratio of residents of the Chelyabinsk region to ethnic migrants
Abstract
Based on the results of a sociological study examines the attitude of inhabitants of the Chelyabinsk
region to ethnic migrants. The dependence between the attitude towards migrants and similarity of
values systems of the local population and visitors, as well as the level of claims last. It was found
that the most tense relationship observed in the field of local settlement of ethnic migrants. Fixed
neighborly relation to ethnically and culturally close to the Russian-speaking immigrants — immigrants
from Ukraine, Belarus, North Kazakhstan. Definitely it has developed a negative attitude to
the natives of the South Caucasus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The conclusion is that the ethnic migration issues relevant to all segments of the population.
