The role of journalist,s unity in the formation of democracy society in Chelyabinsk region the end of XX century

Abstract

The publication is devoted to studying the role of the Journalists Union, in particular of the
Chelyabinsk region, in the development of democratic principles in the late twentieth century. The
relationship system between creative Unions and the media activities is researched in the context of
the global transformation. Specific examples of the regional journalistic organization administrative
activities and its primary structures are amplified. Those instances confirm the positive impact on
the formation of creative social democratic reforms in the country at the end of the millennium. The
history of creation and publication of the weekly printed edition “Contact” is analyzed in details.
“Contact” is one the first independent regional printed media, established by the board of the regional
organization of the USSR journalists union.
